The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MHCC) proudly announces the appointment of several outstanding business leaders to its 2014 Board of Directors. The five new board members represent the very best leadership in corporate America and the Hispanic business community in the Midwest region.
“The appointment of these new board members shows the diversity and growth of our organization. The Board continues to find new ways to incorporate new leadership into the membership and expand the depth and breadth of the organization,” says Gary Gonzalez, Chairman, Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “The new board members represent a variety of corporate industries and each brings with them a unique and strategic vision of the future for the Chamber.”
The expertise and leadership of our new board members will help the Chamber prosper and grow in our mission and focus us on the future, they have been instrumental in their industries and advocates for the Hispanic business community in Michigan.
The appointees are:
|Paco Beltran is Director of Business Development for Peninsula Plastics a Custom Thermoform Packaging Company in Auburn Hills, MI. He is an international award winning professional in manufacturing, supply chain and sales. Beltran has international expertise in business and has worked extensively in Latin American (Mexico, Columbia & Ecuador) and the United States to help companies thrive and develop.|
|John Bueno is an Investment Advisor and Executive Director at JP Morgan Chase Bank in Birmingham, MI. Appointed in 2010, he also serves on the Board of Directors of McClaren Oakland Regional Health Care Hospital and serves his community in the southeast region of Michigan. Bueno also served on the Pontiac City Council from 1986 – 2005, serving as President for one term and President Pro-term for another. John is also the Past National President of MALEO, The National Association of Latin and Elected Appointed Officials. He was elected for five consecutive four year terms on Council.|
|Peter A. Vazquez is Founder and CEO of Brand Echo Media in Detroit, MI. Brand Echo Media is a Michigan Minority Supplier Diversity Council (MMSDC) certified Minority business and a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Interactive Advertising Agency. He has won multiple awards including, Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2013 and also serves as a Board Member of the Hispanic Young Professional and Entrepreneurs of Detroit (HYPEDetroit).|
|Jesse Venegas is Vice President & General Manager at Ideal Setech in Howell, MI. He is an active member of the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Venegas is a commissioner on the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan, a member of the Detroit Athletic Club and the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce. Venegas is an innovative business executive with deep roots in the metro Detroit community.|
|Rick Zamora is Director of Business Development and Information Technology at Autolum Processing Co. a Ferragon Company in Wayne, MI. As an active member of the community he has served as President of the Cleveland Hispanic Chamber and has also served on the Executive Board as Secretary of the Northern Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (NOMSDC) and is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. Zamora is a visionary thinker who drives technology strategies in business at Ferragon Corporation.|
